The body responds to stress + fear (feeling unsafe, not taken care of, worries about the future etc.) by releasing a flood of hormones and tightening the lower body to prepare for the fight or flight response. This repeated process creates built-up tension and tightness, which can be released through physical exercise and the practice of yoga, deep breathing and proper relaxation — something most modern humans aren’t getting today.
